The Incredible Black Barter is a connection platform only.

We help members find each other to trade goods and services. We do NOT process, hold, escrow, guarantee, insure, or facilitate any payment, money transfer, or final exchange between users.

1. What the platform does

We provide an online space where members can post listings of items or services they want to trade, browse other members' listings, and exchange in-app messages to discuss a possible barter. That is the entire scope of our service.

2. What the platform does NOT do

  • We do not process, hold, or transfer money between members.
  • We do not act as an escrow service or payment intermediary.
  • We do not guarantee, insure, or warranty any item, service, or trade.
  • We do not verify the quality, condition, legality, or value of listed items.
  • We do not deliver, ship, pick up, or handle goods.
  • We do not collect or remit taxes on trades between members.
  • We do not mediate, arbitrate, or resolve disputes between members.

3. The only money we charge

The only charge the platform collects is a $1 platform fee from each member (so $2 total per completed trade) when both parties mark a trade complete. This fee is billed to the credit or debit card on file and is solely for the operation of this connection platform. It is not a payment for any item or service exchanged between members.

4. Member-to-member responsibility

All arrangements between traders — including any cash, digital payment (Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, etc.), delivery, pickup, inspection, condition verification, taxes, refunds, and dispute resolution — are 100% the responsibility of the two members involved. You are entering into a private agreement with another member.

5. Safety

Use your own judgment. Meet in safe, well-lit public locations. Inspect items before exchanging. Never share financial credentials. Report concerning behavior to platform admins through your dashboard.

6. Limitation of liability

The platform, its owners, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any loss, damage, theft, injury, fraud, misrepresentation, or dispute arising from any trade, communication, or interaction between members. By using this service, you agree to release the platform from any and all claims related to member-to-member activity.

7. Acceptance

By creating an account, posting a listing, sending an offer, or marking a trade complete, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this disclaimer.
